Based on this scheme, we implement a concrete model which utilizes probabilistic n-gram language models. In this work we introduce a novel generic distributional similarity scheme under which the power of probabilistic models can be leveraged to effectively model joint contexts. Most traditional distributional similarity models fail to capture syntagmatic patterns that group together multiple word features within the same joint context. In the Proceedings of the Eighteenth Conference on Computational Natural Language Learning (CoNLL-2014). Oren Melamud, Ido Dagan, Jacob Goldberger, Idan Szpektor, and Deniz Yuret. The framework is consistent in improving the baseline systems across languages and achieves state-of-the-art results in multilingual dependency parsing. The results show that the examined method achieves as good as or better results compared to the other word embeddings. I examine the framework in a multilingual setup as well. I compared word embeddings, including more recent representations, in Named Entity Recognition (NER), Chunking, and Dependency Parsing. The similarity of contexts is measured by the distribution of substitutes that can fill them. The framework maps words on a sphere such that words co-occurring in similar contexts lie closely. In this work, I analyze a word embedding method in supervised Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. These representations are shown to be successful across NLP tasks including Named Entity Recognition, Part-of-speech Tagging, Parsing, and Semantic Role Labeling. Word embeddings address the issues of the classical categorical representation of words by capturing syntactic and semantic information of words in the dimensions of a vector. Inducing low-dimensional, continuous, dense word vectors, or word embeddings, have become the principal technique to find representations for words. One of the interests of the Natural Language Processing (NLP) community is to find representations for lexical items using large amount of unlabeled data. Squeed invasion8/18/2023 Some countries will even be both rivals and allies in different spheres.Ī version of this is also happening in the Middle East, where Saudi Arabia is actively seeking to balance its relations with countries beyond the United States. Countries of the size of India expect and even want to balance their strategic interests, allying with some and rivaling with others. Yet the previous two decades have marked a major – and almost certainly decisive – shift toward a multipolar world. Some even claim a Russian defeat would accelerate such a scenario. The sudden unity among Western countries has rekindled hopes that there could once again be a resurgence of a Western-led global order, of the kind seen in the 1990s before the Iraq debacle and the rise of China. Better to stay above the fray – or as critics would categorize it, turn a blind eye to a brutal war.īehind India’s resistance to Ukraine’s overtures is also an unspoken consideration: The Ukraine war will almost certainly not end the way the West hopes. Tilting into either camp would be a propaganda coup for that side, but would cost India dearly. But neutrality actually matters a great deal across Indian politics.Īnd this is the central dilemma that India, and by extension the rest of the Global South, has faced. There is, of course, a political case to be made that, with China increasingly siding with Russia, India can leverage its neutrality into a leadership role. Taken together, that’s easily 40% of the planet who not only want to remain neutral, but are comfortable saying so in public.įor India, historically a leader of the Non-Aligned Movement during the Cold War that tried to remain independent, staying neutral has special historical resonance. While the majority of the world’s countries voted in favor of the resolution, and a handful of pro-Russian countries voted against, a vast swath of Asian countries abstained: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, along with all the Central Asian countries and China. The non-binding resolution demanded that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine” and called for an end to hostilities. View from the Global SouthĪ glimpse of this can be seen in the most recent United Nations vote on the invasion, at the end of February. But much of the rest of the world, even after a year of war, sees it very differently. The starkness of the question, fueled by the very real fear that an emboldened Russia might continue to threaten countries closer to the heart of the European Union, such as Sweden and Finland, has created a unity among Western leaders rarely seen in recent years. This year, it holds the presidency of the Group of Twenty, a grouping of the world’s wealthiest countries, and hoped to shift the conversation away from the war, to little avail. In fact, India has tried very hard this past year to speak about anything but the war. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Vladimir Putin in the autumn and declared their friendship “unbreakable.” Even so, Modi has spoken little about Ukraine. Without criticizing the West, it has nonetheless refused to sanction Russia and has even increased its purchases of Russian oil as European markets have cooled. Since the start of the war, India has tried to maintain a neutral stance. The arrival of Emine Dzhaparova is the first step in a renewed charm offensive to persuade India to relinquish its determined neutrality. For the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year, a Ukrainian minister has landed in India. The arrival of Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister in New Delhi this week is, depending on whom you ask, either the routine meeting of a government official (according to the Indian side) or a chance to send a strong message to Russia’s president (according to the Ukrainian side).

Speedtest att8/18/2023 Why Should I Test My Internet Speed and Quality? We give you more, leveraging decades of experience to formulate new performance quality benchmarks - latency and jitter - that directly affect the day-to-day realities of today's businesses. Internet speed is only part of the story. While conventional speed tests measure throughput, you should also test the Internet quality of your connection. Some providers may use old copper connections while others deliver your service using state-of-the-art fiber connectivity. These, along with other factors, could impact latency, jitter and packet loss. Plus, these affect your bandwidth quality. Our Internet quality test does this for you and helps highlight potential risks to your business.ĭepending on whether you are using your connection for VoIP, video conferencing, or mission-critical applications, you may need a higher quality service. The speed at which your Internet connection transmits data to your computer. This is the largest amount of data you can receive in a specified amount of time. Download speed is measured in Megabits per second (Mbps). The opposite of download speed, this measures the largest amount of information that you can send from your computer using your access provider’s connection. Internet latency is a measurement focused on how long it takes a packet of data to complete a round trip between two points. High latency will be noticed on voice calls through delays in conversation and periods of silence. In addition, web pages may load more slowly. To measure the variation over time of latency across the network, you need a jitter test. High jitter values may cause voice packets to be delivered out of order, which can result in echo or talk-over effects.įor business users, you should have enough downstream capacity to accommodate office needs. VoIP calls, video streaming, web browsers, and email transfers all require downstream throughput. Upload speed is critical for making VoIP calls, sending large files, and hosting websites.Īn error may result from having the test open in more than one browser tab or window.

Doctors often start by prescribing an SSRI. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).Be sure to discuss possible major side effects with your doctor or pharmacist. Many types of antidepressants are available, including those below. Here's a closer look at depression treatment options. If you have severe depression, you may need a hospital stay, or you may need to participate in an outpatient treatment program until your symptoms improve. However, many people with depression also benefit from seeing a psychiatrist, psychologist or other mental health professional. Your primary care doctor or psychiatrist can prescribe medications to relieve symptoms. Medications and psychotherapy are effective for most people with depression. This includes depression that's caused by the use of recreational drugs, some prescribed medications or another medical condition. This involves depression symptoms associated with hormone changes that begin a week before and improve within a few days after the onset of your period, and are minimal or gone after completion of your period. While it's usually not disabling, persistent depressive disorder can prevent you from functioning normally in your daily routine and from living life to its fullest. Sometimes called dysthymia (dis-THIE-me-uh), this is a less severe but more chronic form of depression. This disorder typically develops into depressive disorder or anxiety disorder during the teen years or adulthood. This mood disorder in children includes chronic and severe irritability and anger with frequent extreme temper outbursts.

Low amniotic fluid symptoms 33 weeks8/18/2023 The ultrasound expert will firstly scan your uterus to measure the single deepest pocket of amniotic fluid they can. Lupus anticoagulant that is done to see, that in these conditions the blood circulation between the mother and child become less which will result in the reduction of lycra levels. Other than ultrasound, check hemoglobin, check sugar levels, check uric acid or if the mother is in hypertension. Low Amniotic Fluid diagnosis and treatment Congenital disabilities and post date pregnancy are also other causes of low amniotic fluid levels. The baby might also have multiple cysts in the kidney and he/she might have bladder outlet obstruction. In such cases, some kind of chronoform disorder can be present in the baby or the baby's kidney will not be well developed. That means the blood circulation from the mother to the baby is poor that it causes chronic hypoxia, which means the oxygen for the baby becomes less thereby the fluid levels drop. If the neutroplasm is insufficient, then also it can cause such a complication. Autoimmune diseases like SLE or even natural dehydration can also cause oligohydramnios. If the mother is anemic or she has got hypertension which is complicating the pregnancy or if she has pregnancy induced hypertension, these can be the main causes for low amniotic fluid in pregnancy. So, discomfort in the lower abdomen is also one of the symptoms of low levels of amniotic fluid during pregnancy. Around 30 weeks, the lycra levels are usually around 12 and near term it is around 10-12. The patient complains of discomfort in the lower abdomen and the baby feels like it is in the lower bowl. Leaking fluid is also a sign of low amniotic fluid levels. A reduction in this fluid's level can affect the movement majorly as it is a support system for the baby. The movement of the baby is directly influenced by the amount of amniotic fluid. The baby movements are occuring superficially in such patients. Your baby's heart rate can show a sudden drop.Īlso read: How Protected is a Baby in the Womb 3. You might also not gain enough pregnancy weight in such cases. If you have low amniotic fluid, your doctor might tell you that your uterus is small for gestational age. The uterus will be small in women with low Amniotic fluid during pregnancy. Litmus paper was also used that when touched to the discharge if it turns blue, then that means there is a high leak which indicated that the lycra levels can drop. If the patient experiences clear discharge around 34 weeks then it is examined by putting a speculum and examine to see any discharge. Generally, it is asked to the patient that if they are experiencing some white discharge, if it was curdy white or clear discharge. Nithya, the main symptoms of low amniotic fluid during pregnancy are: 1. Low amniotic fluid symptomsĪccording to Dr. Nithya Ramamurthy, Senior Consultant, Gynaecology, Fortis Malar Hospital, about the symptoms, causes, complications and ways to increase low Amniotic fluid during pregnancy. To dig more, Onlymyhealth editorial team spoke to Dr. These pockets are less than 2 cm deep or the Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) is less than 5cms. In ultrasound, they measure the single pockets which is known as the deep vertical pockets. When amniotic fluid is less, then it should be during that period of time of gestation which is known as oligohydramnios. After experiencing any symptoms such as abdominal discomfort or clear discharge, you should talk to the doctor for any possible treatments and ways to increase the amniotic fluid. Low amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios) can be a matter of concern and should be taken seriously. In the initial months of pregnancy, amniotic fluid is made up of water from the mother's body. Your body starts producing amniotic fluid in the early stages, about 12 days after conceiving. The functions that this fluid performs include allowing baby's movement, normal development of the baby's parts, baby's temperature regulation and also helps in preventing infection. Basically, it is the fluid that surrounds your baby while they develop inside your uterus. Amniotic fluid is an essential part of fetal development. The most important part is to keep the baby protected in the mother's womb for the nine months period. The doctor lets you know about any risks beforehand in most of the cases. There are a lot of things that a woman has to take care of during pregnancy.

Yahoo answers who was julius caesar8/18/2023 It was when the Roman republic ended and was replaced by the Roman Empire and it was filled with larger-the-life characters like Caesar, Cleopatra, Spartacus, Marc Antony, Augustus, Jesus and Caligula. 40, which was largely shaped by Caesar, was one of the most pivotal and memorable in Roman and world history. As a statesman he brought Roman culture to much of Europe and the Middle East and set up an effective administration system that would allow the Romans to rule over one of the largest and most enduring empires the world would ever know. and then for the next 15 years shook up the Roman political scene, extended its territory and did as much as anyone ro make Rome an empire before he was assassinated. Possessing enormous political ambition and superb oratory skills, Julius Caesar maneuvered his way to the position of consul of Rome in 59 B.C. His popularity was such that he was able to bring his armies into Rome, end Roman republican government and declare himself dictator for life, ushering in four centuries of Roman emperors. As a general his greatest achievement was the conquest of Gaul, which he described himself with great eloquence in his campaign memoirs. The Senate posthumously granted him the title Divine Julius, making him the first historical Roman to be deified.Julius Caesar (?102-44 B.C.) is one man who could rightfully make the claim he changed the course of history. In keeping with Caesar’s eternal quest for glory, in death he acquired one last title and tribute. His designated heir, Octavian, outlasted Caesar’s antagonists and became the first Roman emperor. Though the conspirators eliminated Caesar himself, they neither thwarted his plans nor saved the republic. On the Ides of March (March 15), 44 B.C., Caesar was assassinated, stabbed 23 times. Threatened by Caesar’s tyranny, a group of conspirators-led by Brutus-plotted against him. When he declared himself dictator for life in 45 B.C., he sealed his fate. He also was magnanimous to his opponents, including Marcus Junius Brutus, a supporter of Pompey.Ĭaesar’s ambitious power grabs through political reform alienated many senators. He increased the size of the Senate for broader participation and opened citizenship to more foreigners. As ruler, he enacted several beneficial measures for Rome. As Caesar pursued Pompey loyalists in North Africa, he became politically and romantically entangled with the queen Cleopatra and had a son with her named Caesarion.Ĭaesar returned, triumphant, to Rome in 46 B.C. Pompey fled to Egypt, but he was betrayed and killed when he came ashore. Learn about the rise and fall of Ancient Rome and how its influence still endures today. Though Pompey had assembled an army twice the size of Caesar’s, Caesar defeated him decisively at Pharsalus in 48 B.C. Caesar drove Pompey out of Italy and chased him to Greece. The act was a declaration of civil war and a direct challenge to Pompey and his troops, who were enlisted to protect the interests of the Senate. In January 49 B.C., Julius Caesar and his army crossed the Rubicon River into Italy, the boundary beyond which he could not legally command troops. In all, Caesar’s campaign killed or enslaved more than a million Gauls, a crushing victory that deepened the growing rivalry with Pompey, who had taken Caesar’s place as consul. The Gaul leader Vercingetorix was paraded in chains through Rome before being ritually strangled. Caesar’s seven-year Gaul campaign ended triumphantly in 51 B.C. He knew he needed a great military victory to win lasting glory beyond politics, so he set out to conquer the long-defiant Gauls-Celts who lived in modern-day France. But when he led his troops across the Rubicon River in defiance of the Roman Senate, he distinguished himself for the ages and set Rome on a path of transformation from republic to empire.Ĭaesar made the political prime time at around age 40 by forging the First Triumvirate with Pompey the Great, noted general and statesman, and Marcus Licinius Crassus, one of Rome’s richest men. Few Romans would have chosen young Julius Caesar (ca 100–44 B.C.) as the man most likely to succeed on a grand scale and dominate their world. |
